|  Commissioned in 2000 for installation at the new Fayetteville, Arkansas Town Center, the 10-foot diameter bronze globe “floats” on a reflecting pool.
A team of 20 sculptors spent a combined 8,000 hours working the clay sphere. After molds were taken, 42 bronze segments were poured in the studio’s foundry and assembled into the 4-ton artwork.
Sculpted in relief on its surface is the phrase, “May peace prevail on earth” in over 100 languages, from translations provided by the World Peace Prayer Society.
